What is Comment Converter? - Comment Converter is a simple application which converts Finder comments created while using Mac OS 9 or earlier into comments compatible with the Mac OS X Finder. It's designed to ease your transition to Mac OS X.
Comment Converter is freeware. Actually, it's kind of like adware. If you use File Buddy 7, Comment Converter will never bug you in any way. This is true if you have purchased File Buddy or if you're just trying File Buddy out for the trial period. If you don't use File Buddy at all, every few uses Comment Converter will display its About box, which contains a button to take you the File Buddy 7 download page. Comment Converter never expires.
System Requirements - Comment Converter will run in Mac OS 10.1 or later, or Mac OS 9 with CarbonLib 1.5 or later, but it can only convert comments when used with Mac OS 10.2 (Jaguar) or later.
Converting Comments - While using Mac OS 10.2 or later, simply drag items in the Finder to Comment Converter. It will access their comments from Classic (Classic does not need to be running) and convert them into Mac OS X-compatible comments. It will burrow down through folders and operate on all items inside folders dropped on it. It will not replace existing Mac OS X comments.
